Rise of the Runelords
1.) Going Gridless
Rise of the Runelords will be played without grid maps. This will cause the following changes:
- Spells with a radius/diameter will actually be circles. Cones will be cones. I’ll make some templates.
- Movement will be measured with inch sticks: 5’ = 1 inch just like in a grid.
- Flanking will be determined using the channel system which I can better explain in person.
- Reach is given a ~1/2 inch of freedom do determine if you can attack, threaten, or provoke.

2.) Detect Spells
- Detect spells will no longer work like radar. You will need line of effect in order to detect something.
